Custom Lego

When I was young Lego men were all the same. Yellow, smiling...and that was about it. Oh, except the pirates. A few of them had a dashing moustache. Now every single one is covered in stubble or has an eyepatch or sunglasses or something. Then of course there are the franchised ones. Batman, Harry Potter, Star Wars, there's no end and as much as I'm embarassed to admit it, they are really cool. I even saw some based on the new Avengers movie. It's cool and because it's Lego, kinda cute too. Anyway, the point of this is that I accidentally stumbled across custom Lego, this is where people make their own Lego men, or mini-figures as they're now called. Forget the Avengers people make their own Nazis! Clearly it's a fun way of expression. There are even websites where you can purchase special guns to equip your minifigures with Here's one I discovered based on Ellen Ripley from the Aliens films. Can you imagine the Nostromo as a playset? :-) Ian xxx
